Gavin & Stacey – Series 1- Episode 6
It’s Gavin and Stacey’s wedding day, as the comedy concludes. The Shipmans and the Wests are beside themselves with excitement and pride. Smithy attempts to deliver the greatest best man’s speech, but it doesn’t go quite to plan, while Pamela and Mick perform some unique karaoke. Uncle Bryn is still acting strangely around Stacey’s brother, Jason, but Nessa is acting the oddest of all. Will she spill the beans on her big secret?
It’s wedding bells for Gavin (Mathew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page)
Gavin is played by Mathew Horne, Stacey by Joanna Page, Smithy by James Corden, Pamela by Alison Steadman, Mick by Larry Lamb, Uncle Bryn by Rob Brydon, Jason by Robert Wilfort and Nessa by Ruth Jones.

One of the best new comedies around imo, and also has a great soundtrack.
theres been a lot of arguments about the G&S series being better then two pints and in a certain way i agree to this. G&S seems to have a deeper storyline where you actually feel more in-touch with the characters and it also has a great storyline, popping out the jokes at the right moments ^^. Two pints had a really vague storyline but kept up standards with outrageous jokes (not forgetting jonny “homer J” keo. ^^
For me the soundtrack also gives a great feel to the series and includes some well known and great artists.
Only 2 i know of are:
You and Me by Lifehouse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUi2gbhP_mU&eurl=
Stephen Fretwell – Run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUv7rP_JRdY&eurl=
There’s also a track from the kaiser chiefs in there as i recall, however i dont know the opening theme that is played whilst the “precious episode” summary is run, this is a really great track ive heard many times but i dont know the artist or track name, if anyone could help out that would be fab!
Anyway, Thx for reading if u have ^^

G&S is amazing, it would be great to see it taken forward to see how things go, could be the greatest British/Welsh(!) response to Friends. It is a very good series. Loved it.

Love the sound track especially having Love or Trial from the Hot Puppies on the wedding day. Have you noticed all the best TV comedies have brilliant music, Black Books, Curb you Enthusiasm etc.
Being set in wales I daydream different scenarios to songs I like.
I have one where they get lost on
Snowden and play a song called called orphans of the storm and another where Nessa falls briefly for a real handosme lothario

Im guessing here but the theme tune sounds like ‘Stephen Fretwell’. Check him out as his lastest album ‘Man on the Roof’ is excellent. Not sure if it contains the theme tune to Gavin n Stacey though.

Yeah the theme tune is `Run` by Stephen Fretwell, its on the magpie album.
