Following triple success at the British Comedy Awards and triumph at The South Bank Show Awards, Gavin & Stacey, the critically acclaimed comedy written by James Corden and Ruth Jones, Moves to BBC One for the second series.
Newlyweds Gavin and Stacey return from honeymoon to a big welcome from both families, in tonight’s opener. But Smithy seems none too happy with his best mate, and Nessa makes a confession that throws the whole evening into disarray.
Gavin is played by Mathew Horne, Stacey by Joanna Page, Smithy by James Corden and Nessa by Ruth Jones.

Why is this quality series on BBC3? with all the awards it won for the 1st series surely it should be BBC1 or 2!!
This has to be one of the funniest programmes I have ever seen, i take my hat off off to the writers. Don’t stop writing!

March 16th can’t come quick enough – watched the total series re-run again on BBC2 this weekend – still laughed my socks off even though knew what was coming!! Best series out – Nessa – you’re my hero!!

This show is the best. and do you know why? because it is filmed in my home town. Barry island rules. The show is also so funny. the characters remind me of some of my mates.
Gavin and stacey is the funniest thing on earth!!!! Smithy is so funny and so is brin! There hasnt been one bad episode i have ever seen and ive seen every single one. We need this on BBC 2 because not many people no about it and if it was on BBC2 then everyone else would get the enjoyment out of it. Writers never stop writing please. Absolutely amazing!!! Well done to all the people taht make it.
