James Corden says that he and Ruth Jones, the creators of Gavin and Stacey, cried when they finished writing the final episode.

“It’s an emotional time because we’re saying goodbye to these characters that we love.

“So the whole thing is very sad and I just hope it can be as good as possible.”

“I just hope it’s good enough.”

Filming of the third and final series starts on 15th June.

Rob Brydon has revealed that he has been learning the new Gavin & Stacey scripts with his wife.
“Start rehearsing Gavin & Stacey next week,” he said. “Very funny scripts. Acted one out for my wife last night, playing all parts. A triumph.”

Meanwhile, Darling Buds Of May actress Pam Ferris is rumoured to have joined the cast as Smithy’s (James Corden) mum.
